GI-MAP & ALCAT (Stool test and food sensitivity test) : What is the GI-MAP Comprehensive Stool Analysis Test? The GI-MAP is an advanced non-invasive test designed to assess the health of your gut. By simply sending a stool sample to the lab, this powerful tool can identify a wide range of microorganisms living in your digestive tract- including beneficial bacteria, harmful pathogens, viruses and parasites- giving you a detailed picture of your gut microbiome. The ALCAT (Antigen Leukocyte Antibody Test) is a food sensitivity test that analyses a blood sample to evaluate how your immune system responds to a wide range of foods, chemicals and other substances. It works by measuring changes in the size and volume of white blood cells when exposed to specific antigens. These changes can reveal sensitivities or intolerances that may be contributing to inflammation or other health issues.
